The city’s unique shape reflects its name, and it will mainly comprise factories, manufacturing facilities, and logistics-related sites, though it will also house around 90,000 residents by 2030.

Oxagon will also feature an innovation campus that will rival established global centers. It will create a collaborative environment built around research and innovation to create a truly circular economy.

The city’s full completion is expected by 2030, and some of its key features, including advanced logistics solutions facilities, are expected to take shape by 2025.

Mammoet has successfully installed the first batch of modular-constructed ‘over water villas’ for Red Sea Global Sheybarah Island Resort.

This includes the first prefabricated, stainless steel over water villa orb. To support the shipment of the villas from the UAE to Saudi Arabia, the company has teamed up with P&O Maritime Logistics.

The heavy lifting and transport company was awarded the contract for the transportation and installation of 73 villa pods back in May 2022.

Al-Arous is ROSHN’s second community and part of a larger strategy of developing modern and vibrant neighbourhood in four regions and nine cities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Al-Arous community is located in north Jeddah, at a site that connects the population with the city’s main roads and public transportation network.

The destination, which is being developed by Red Sea Global, sits over 28,000 km2 of pristine lands and waters and is committed to protecting, preserving, and enhancing the natural environment.

By 2030, The giga project will be home to 50 hotels, 8,000 rooms, up to 1,000 residential properties, and its own international airport.

In October of 2022, Red Sea Global appointed DAA International to operate the RSI airport. DAA International will be overseeing design consultancy, management, and operations in accordance with the provisions of the General Authority of Civil Aviation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (GACA) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

Construction on Trojena commenced in December 2022 and is slated to welcome its first guests in 2026. In its aim to become a hub for world-class tourism and recreation never before offered in the Gulf countries, the mountain destination will also feature 30km of ski slopes for visitors of all ages and levels, ultra-luxury and wellness hotels and resorts as well as over 100 indoor and outdoor experiences available all year-round.
